PURPOSE:To obtain a working screw mechanism without any backlash, by dividing a female screw screw-fitted to a male screw shaft into two screws and providing a spring for changing a clearance between two female screws. CONSTITUTION:There is a little play between a male screw 1 and screw-fitted female screws 2, 3. A spring 4 is provided between the female screw 2 and 3 so as to energize them in the arrow direction. The thread of the female screw 2 is push-pressed to the right side surface of the thread of the male screw 1 and the thread of the female screw 3 is push-pressed to the left side surface of the thread of the male screw 1. In this status, when the female screws 2, 3 are fixed from the outside so as to be integrated in one body, a backlash between the female 2 and 3 and the male screw 1 is eliminated. In other wards, when the thread of the male screw 1 moves toward the left, the thread of the female screw 3 is pushed and the female screw 2 and 3 proceed toward the left, and when the thread of the male screw 1 moves toward the right, the thread of the female screw 2 is pushed and the female screw 2 and 3 proceed toward the right.
