发明名称 WHEEL FRICTIONAL MATERIAL FOR RAIL-WAY VEHICLE
摘要 PURPOSE:To improve the adhesion of a wheel tread and reduce wear between a wheel flange and a rail, by providing, for a wheel frictional material, a high frictional material to be in pressure contact with the wheel tread and low frictional material consisting of solid lubricant to be in pressure contact with the wheel flange portion. CONSTITUTION:A part to be in pressure contact with a wheel tread 2 is constituted with a high frictional material containing a metallic material necessary to clean a braking portion or the wheel tread 2. Namely, a wheel frictional material 4 is constituted with a high frictional material 5, a low frictional material 6 and backing metal 7. The high frictional material 5 is constituted with cast iron, sintered alloy or synthetic resin containing metal powder, and by being in pressure contact with the wheel tread 2 and slided, it acts to eliminate foreign matters stuck to the tread 2 and to always maintain the clean tread 2 and also to give appropriate surface roughness. Meanwhile, the low trictional material 6 is constituted with a solid lubricant such as black lead, grahite or the like as a main material with binder and strength maintaining material added there to, being in pressure contact with the wheel flange portion 3, and forms a thin and strong lubricating film on the flange portion 3 by its sliding friction.
