发明名称 METHOD FOR CONTROLLING ELECTRIC CURRENT FOR PLATING IN CONTINUOUS ELECTROPLATING EQUIPMENT
摘要 PURPOSE:To form a plated film of a uniform thickness on only the front side of a steel sheet when the sheet is electroplated as the cathode, by detecting both edges of the sheet, dividing the anode confronting the sheet into plural anodes and controlling the amt. of electric current for each of the divided anodes. CONSTITUTION:When electric current is supplied to a plating soln. between a steel sheet 4 as the cathode and the anode 2 to electroplate the front side of the sheet 4, both edges of the sheet 4 are detected with detection terminals 8a, 8b the anode 2 is divided into plural anodes 2A-2I in the lateral direction of the sheet 4 and the anodes 2A-2I are connected to the positive electrodes of rectifiers 5A-5I, respectively. The terminals 8a, 8b are connected to a controller 10 for controlling electric current for plating with an edge detector 9 in-between and total electric current for plating is calculated with the controller 10 from the width of the sheet 4, the amt. of plating, the current efficiency of the cathode and the line speed of the sheet 4. Optimum electric current for each of the divided anodes 2A-2I is then calculated, the value is instructed to each of the rectifiers 5A-5I and the electric current is supplied to each of the anodes 2A-2I. In case of one side plating, a uniform plated film is formed on only the front side of the sheet 4 with no overplating on both edges.
