SILVER HALIDE PHOTOGRAPHIC SENSITIVE MATERIAL

PURPOSE:To improve the handleability as well as to obtain a silver image having superior graininess by using silver halide particles having practically color sensitivity in one of two specified wavelength regions and no color sensitivity in the other. CONSTITUTION:When at lest one silver halide emulsion layer is formed on a support to obtain a silver halide photographic sensitive material, silver halide particles having practically color sensitivity at >=620nm and no color sensitivity in the region of 560-620nm are used. The color sensitivity characteristics can be provided to a photographic emulsion for the emulsion layer by using a sensitizing dye for the red sensitivity region or the dye and a sensitizing dye for the blue sensitivity region and/or a sensitizing dye for the green sensitivity region. Thus, a silver halide photographic sensitive material having satisfactory handleability in a darkroom and color sensitivity at >=620nm is obtd. The sensitive material is used for printing from a color developed sensitive material and ensures superior graininess.
