PURPOSE:To always clean a discharge wire without suspending the printing, by constituting the titled electrifier so that a cleaner pad is positioned fixedly, and the discharge wire moves, slide-contacts with the cleaner pad thereby, and cleaned. CONSTITUTION:On the outside of height determining members 10, 11, a cleaner pad 2 is provided fixedly. In such a state, when a driving motor 13 is driven, a photosensitive body 9 is driven to rotate through a driving gear 14, an idler 15, and a gear 16. Simultaneously, a bevel gear 8 is driven to rotate through a pinion 14a, decelerating gears 17, 18, a pinion 18a, a decelerating gear 19, and a bevel gear 19a, a pulley 5 rotates and a discharge wire 6 moves. By such movement, the discharge wire 6 slide-contacts and passes through in notches 12c, 12d of a cleaner pad 12, therefore, brought to cleaning by cleaning felt 12b of the cleaner pad. In such a way, even in the course of printing, the discharge wire 6 is brought to cleaning without moving the cleaner pad 12.
