PURPOSE:To inflict no damage to a disc spring by external force, by providing peripheral grooves and projecting ridges on a braking portion and boss portion and receiving excessive external forces by means of those provisions. CONSTITUTION:Peripheral grooves 9 and 10 in the circumferential direction are provided on the inner end surface 7 and 8 of spokes 5 and 6. On the inner perphery and a semi-circular recess portion 11 for connection is also provided on only one spoke 5. The braking portion 2 and hub 3 transmit braking torque by means of a pin 23, and their motions in axial direction are restricted by the peripheral grooves 9, 10 and projecting ridges 17, 18 with slight clearances. Accordingly, as the relative movement in axial direction between the braking portion 2 and boss portion 3 becomes large, the side surfaces of the peripheral grooves 9, 10 and projecting ridges 17, 18 are brought into contact with each other so as to stop any further movement, as the result of this manner, a disc spring is not subjected to any excessive load and not inflicted with any damage.
