<p>PURPOSE:To recover high-purity zinc from a material contg. by-product Zn by charging the material in a volatilization furnace, filling the inside of the furnace with a reducing gas, keeping the inside of the furnace at a specified temp., and recovering the powder of zinc oxide or metallic zinc from the Zn- contg. gas discharged from the furnace top. CONSTITUTION:The pellet of electric furnace dust, CDQ coke powder, etc., is charged in a first volatilization furnace 1A, the plating dross block from zinc plating equipment is charged in a second volatilization furnace 1B, and the insides of the respective furnaces are kept at 900-1,100 deg.C. Consequently, the Zn component in the material contg. by-product Zn is volatilized, air or a reducing gas such as N2 is injected from a coolant nozzle 7 into the gas leaving a filter 4 and sent to a first duct 5A, and ZnO or metallic Zn is recovered by a dust collector 8 as powder. Meanwhile, liq. lead is sprinkled through a circulating passage 12 into the gaseous Zn transferred to a condensation pit 13 through a second duct 5B, the liquefied Zn is dripped into the condensation pit 13, Zn and Pb are separated by a skimmer 14 provided at the bottom of the pit 13, and the liquefied Zn is stored in a liquefied Zn storage tank 15.</p> |
