<p>PURPOSE:To achieve a higher probing capacity, by arranging two transmitting antennas on both sides of a receiving antenna at an equal interval to drive transmitters connected individually to the transmitting antennas simultaneously. CONSTITUTION:Transmitting antennas 3a and 3b are arranged on both sides of a receiving antenna 5 at an equal interval to drive transmitters 2a and 2b simultaneously. Because of symmetry in the layout of antennas, reflected wave by a transmission pulse emitted from the antenna 3a is precisely the same as reflected wave from the antenna 3b in the waveform as received with the antenna 5. Thus, the simultaneous transmission produces amplitude twice as much as would be when one transmitting antenna is used as reception output of the antenna 5, thereby achieving a higher probing capacity.</p> |
