PURPOSE:To simply enable membrane separation with small heat energy consumption and a high speed even in the presence of any solute which is susceptible to thermal degradation small by employing aconductive membrane under a heating condition through energization. CONSTITUTION:For instance, chloroform solution of silicon polycarbonate copolymer is cast on a conductive sheet of stainless mesh or other material deposited on a teflon board to obtain a conductive high polymer membrane after solute evaporation. A metal plate is soldered to the conductive sheets at both ends of said membrane as terminals, and this conductive membrane 15 is mounted on an osmotic evaporation cell 10. After this, voltage is applied between both terminals, and an ethanol/water mixed solution is separated by an osmotic evaporation method.
