PURPOSE:To lighten the load of a sender for selection by selecting and outputting an appropriate gift by means of a processing by two knowledge bases of a goods knowledge and a rule knowledge, and an inferring mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A host computer 1 is provided with the knowledge base 2, which stores the goods knowledge by a hierarchical frame expression, and the knowledge base 3, which stores the recommendatory knowledge of a gift goods by the rule form of an IF (conditional statement) and a THEN (executable statement), and the inferring mechanism 4, which draws the inference of the appropriate gift goods from the input data of the sender by using the knowledge bases 2, 3. A terminal equipment 7 accepts the data input of the sender from a key board 9, and gives it to the computer 1 side from a processor 10, and receives the information of a recommended goods as the gift being inferred by the computer 1, and displays various kinds of information of the corresponding gift goods on a displaying device 12. Thus the appropriate gift is selected by only giving the information of the budget and a family relation of a consignee or the like from the sender side, and the load of the sender for selection can be lightened. |
