PURPOSE:To accurately and efficiently input even a KANJI (Chinese character) whose reading in unknown by identifying the features of the basic constituent element or the radical of a KANJI by the symbol, and coding them by the combination of the symbols. CONSTITUTION:The basic constituent elements or the radical of a KANJI are identified by the symbol, and the KANJI is coded by the combination of said symbols and inputted. In such a case, the coding of a KANJI is achieved by that, in principle, one numeral from 0-9 are made correspond to the respective basic constituent elements or the radical of a KANJI in the upper-left corner, in the upper-right corner, and down-right part of their square form, and these numerals are arrayed in order to make a three-digit combination. Even for a KANJI whose reading is unknown, a KANJI code can be produced by means of the combination of symbols, and thus produced code is inputted. In such a way, even a KANJI whose reading is unknown can easily be inputted.
