: A paper supplying device comprises a first feed member with a horizontal rotational axis and having a convex feed surface whereby the feed member is capable of coming into contact with one surface of a paper sheet to be fed. An urging member is disposed to face the feed surface of the feed member, for urging the paper towards the feed member while contacting the other surface thereof. Interrupting members are arranged downstream of the feed member for interrupting movement of the remaining sheets other than the one in contact with the feed surface of the feed member. A second feed member is arranged downstream of the first feed member, for feeding the sheet in contact with the feed surface according to an angular displacement of the first feed member. Transport members are arranged downstream of the second feed member. The arrangement has the advantages of compactness combined with reliable operation.
