发明名称 SURFACE TREATMENT OF RECORDING LAYER OF MAGNETO-OPTICAL DISK
摘要 PURPOSE:To obviate generation of pinholes in a recording layer by subjecting the recording layer to a projection treatment of UV rays or far IR rays from above the same prior to lamination of a protective layer. CONSTITUTION:The recording layer of a magneto-optical disk which is not laminated with the protective layer on the magneto-optical recording layer is subjected to the projection treatment of the active rays, for example, UV rays or far IR rays from above said layer prior to lamination of the protective layer. Any conditions are permissible for the method of projecting the UV rays or far IR rays if the projection is about the degree at which the warpage of the substrate by the projection heat does not arise when the substrate of the magneto-optical disk is of such a plastic molding as polymethyl methacrylate or polycarbonate. The preferable atmosphere temp. is, therefore, <=60 deg.C and there is no need for substitution with an inert gas such as nitrogen for the atmosphere. The irradiation may be executed under the conditions in the air. The pinholes to be generated in the recording layer are substantially entirely eliminated.
