PURPOSE:To accurately read light sharing picture information while excluding the effect of a false signal by coupling a circuit receiving a high voltage of opposite polarity to an output line of a photomultiplier tube in terms of capaci tance. CONSTITUTION:A high voltage HV is inputted to an inverse amplifier 40 and the output line of the inverse amplifier 40 is connected to an output line of a photomultiplier tube 17 in series with a resistor 41 and a capacitor 42. Thus, the high voltage HV of opposite polarity is coupled to the output line of the photomultiplier tube 17 in terms of capacitance via the capacitor 42 and the current Ic caused thereby is synthesized with a read picture signal S. Thus, a false signal superimposed on the read picture signal S is cancelled.
