PURPOSE:To attain general-purpose application of a function such as priority of security relating processing by providing a detecting means detecting the presence of cartridge loading to a slot and a control means controlling the execution of a program of a cartridge. CONSTITUTION:In loading a cartridge 6 to a slot 2, a CPU 1 detects the switching state of a slot switch 4 and when the switch is turned off, the program and data of the cartridge 6 are not executed but the processing in operation is continued. In this case, since a slot insertion detector 3 outputs a detection signal, the CPU 1 recognizes the loading of the cartridge 6. When the switch 4 is turned on in this state, the CPU 1 executes the program of the cartridge 6 immediately. A queuing switch or a memory switch or a memory switch is operated in this case to save the program during execution into a memory in a main body 7 or an external storage device, where it is stored. Thus, various multi-purpose utilizations such as priority processing of security relating information are attained.
