A substantially planar contact for a printed circuit board edge connector socket is formed from sheet metal as shown so as to provide a resilient arm 18d with an end 18e shaped to engage, edgewise, a contact of an inserted circuit board. A terminal lug 18g is also provided and the contact may be retained in its slot in the moulded body 12, 13 by twisting a tapered portion 18f at the base of the lug. Alternatively, the lug may be cut to produce a laterally-extending resilient locking finger (Fig. 3, not shown).
