PURPOSE:To miniaturize and reduce the weight of a device. by a method wherein an intermediate capacitor is connected between an input circuit and an output circuit through a charging switch and a discharging switch while the intermediate capacitor is turned ON, OFF alternately. CONSTITUTION:A power source circuit is constituted of an input circuit, an output circuit supplying an electric power to a load, charging switches 1b, 2b, discharging switches 1a, 2a, an intermediate capacitor C2 and a control circuit, turning both of the switches ON, OFF alternately. The intermediate capacitor C2 is charged and discharged by relay contacts 1a, 2b of both of said switches interposed between the input circuit and the output circuit. The relay contacts 1a, 2b are opened and closed by a relay coil CR driven by an astable multivibrator AM at the output side of a constant voltage circuit REG1 whereby respective contacts are turned ON, OFF alternately. According to this method, a primary side is isolated surely from a secondary side by the relay contacts 1a-2b with the intermediate capacitor C2 as an boundary between the primary and secondary sides.
