PURPOSE:To easily cope with increase and decrease of a terminal by providing an arbitrary number of optical plug sockets on a leading-out part of an optical fiber of the wall surface and the floor surface, etc., and constituting a link by installing a repeater at the time of non-contact of a terminal of an optical plug socket. CONSTITUTION:As for an internal structure of a repeater 4, two mirrors 23 are placed in the inside of a body 14, and an optical signal inputted from a hole of one optical fiber 16 is sent back as an output from the other optical fiber 16 through two mirrors 23. In a building, an optical fiber 1 is brought to wiring, and connected through an optical plug 5 to an optical plug socket 2 provided on a place where a terminal 6, etc., are scheduled to be installed. Subsequently, to the optical plug socket 2, the optical plug 5 from the central equipment and the terminal 6 is connected, and also, with respect to the optical plug socket 2 to which the terminal 6, etc., are not connected, a repeater 4 is connected, by which a link is constituted. In such a way, to the optical plug socket 2 to which the terminal 6 is not installed, the repeater 4 is attached, and at the time of increasing the terminal 6, the repeater 4 is removed and the optical plug 5 is attached. That is, before the constitution of an optical LAN is determined, the optical fiber 1 can be provided in the building. |
