PURPOSE:To simply and suitably correct an uneven density by measuring the potential of a latent image at the time when it has been exposed by a reflected light of a grey original, and controlling the light quantity of an exposing lamp and a destaticizing lamp so that the latent image potential becomes uniform along the width direction of a photosensitive body. CONSTITUTION:The charge by an electrifying part is executed, and also, exposing lamps 18a-18h are turned on, the latent image potential is measured 36 by one of electrometers 4a-4h, and a measured voltage is compared with a specific value A. As a result, when the measured voltage is lower than A, it is allowed to branch and a high voltage applied to a charge wire 2b is raised, and when the measured voltage is higher than A, a main high voltage is lowered. Subsequently, by the electrometers 4a-4h, the latent image potential is measured, the measured voltage is compared one by one with a specific value E0, and when the measured voltage is smaller than E0, the light quantity of the corresponding exposing lamp is decreased. On the contrary, when the measured voltage is larger than E0, the light quantity of the exposing lamp is increased. In such a way, when all the measured voltage become equal to E0, the electrifying part 2 is turned off, and the lamps 18a-18h are turned off. |
