PURPOSE:To efficiently attain automatic retrieval of a desired data in a very short time by providing a terminal computer to allow the computer to generate a retrieval theoretical equation, its revision and the retrieval of a data base. CONSTITUTION:A user checks a key word and lists up additional requests to the retrieval of data base and inputs the obtained key word and additional request to a terminal computer 15 via a terminal equipment 6. The terminal computer 15 generates plural data base retrieval theoretical equations based on the input data and tries to retrieve the data base sequentially via a communication line 8 according to the theoretical equations. From the result of retrieval, when the result of retrieval in matching with the request of user is obtained, the result of retrieval is displayed on the terminal equipment 6. Thus, the cut- and-try for a long time by the user is eliminated and quick and efficient automatic retrieval is attained.
