A unique series of [1,2,4]triazolo[4,3-a] quinoxaline-4-amine derivatives which show excellent binding affinity at both the A1 and A2 adenosine receptor sites. The compounds are useful in treating depression, fatigue, and heart failure. Also disclosed are methods for preparing the compounds, compositions containing the compounds and methods for using them.
