PURPOSE:To form a high separation roller surface suitable for the feed of sheets by one at a time, by a method wherein the delivery opposing surfaces of a deliver roller and a friction roller form a delivery contact surface and a non-contact uneven corresponding surface. CONSTITUTION:When a rotary shaft 18 is driven by means of a delivery signal, an auxiliary roller 16 and a delivery roller 17 synchronously exert a delivery force on a bank note 11 in linkage with drive of the rotary shaft. The force pulls the bank note 11 in a delivery direction, and the bank note is nipped between the delivery roller 17 and a friction roller 20 for delivery. In this case, since the delivery roller 17 and the friction roller 20, by which the bank note 11 is delivered, effect delivery by means of a given delivery contact pressure suitable for delivery, the bank note 11 guided during the delivery is excellently nipped for conveyance. At an uneven corresponding part, situated in a non- contact position, between a peripheral grooved part 17a and a line of projection part 21a, separation from the bank note 11 is promoted, and the feed of one bank note at a time is reliably controlled.
