PURPOSE:To improve general usage, in a carrying material supporting member for carrying material container, by providing a pair of rising and facing surfaces and a vertically retractable limiting member which is energized normally in projecting direction at container bottom supporting section. CONSTITUTION:A large through-hole 25 is made through a planar supporting section 24 and limiting boards 30, 31 are fixed through shafts 28, 29 rollably in the vertical direction and normally energized in the projecting direction through a spring. A pair of rising sections 26, 27 are formed at the longitudinally facing ends of the supporting section 24 where a carrying material supporting member 23 is constructed by folding the opposite ends thereof inwardly so as to limit lateral motion of a container 10 and fixed to an endless chain at fixing sections 32, 33. In such arrangement, a large container 10 is contained fully between rising sections 26, 27 by pushing down the limiting boards 30, 31. In case of a small container 10, one of the limiting boards 30, 31 projects to support the container 10. With such arrangement, two types of containers can be handled.
