PURPOSE:To improve the reliability and operating efficiency of the title device by fixing connecting means to be connected with the part of a semiconductor device, where the potential is made equal, at the same point of a power transmission means. CONSTITUTION:In a power converter, modules 7a-7b with semiconductor devices and the like mounted thereon are arranged up and down and connected with an AC bus bar 8 supplying power to a main circuit by said devices and the like and with a DC bus bar supplying power from the main circuit to a load DC motor. Also, the AC bus bar 8 and the DC bus bar are connected at the same point with a main bus bar 18 via a transition bus bar 13. Further, an insulating material such as insulator is used in said main bus bar 18, which bus bar 18 retains a given insulating pressure resistance and is fixed at the position where the bus bars of said modules 7a and 7b are of the same length. Thus, the impedance between respective parallel devices is made equal and the current balance between respective modules can be placed in a balanced state.
