PURPOSE:To contrive to transfer satisfactorily an image by decreasing successively the quantity of a developer on a latent image carrying body after a surplus developer has been removed, extending from a visible image transferred onto transfer paper in the beginning to a visible image transferred in the end, executing correctly the first transfer, and preventing a transfer omission in the last transfer. CONSTITUTION:A developing device 14 is a liquid developing device of a roller developing system, and in tanks 142, 143-145, developers using toner grains of cyan, magenta, yellow and black are contained, respectively, a necessary developer is selected by a changeover valve and supplied to a developing part by a pump 141, and development is executed. In this case, prior to a transfer of each developer, a surplus developer on a latent image carrying body is removed by a squeeze, and the quantity of the developer on the latent image carrying body after the surplus developer has been removed is decreased successively extending from a visible image transferred first to a sheet of transfer paper to a visible image transferred in the end. Also, the developer quantity is determined so that the first transfer can be executed correctly, and also, the last transfer can be executed without a transfer omission. In such a way, collapse, flow and bleeding of an image can be reduced effectively. |
