PURPOSE:To improve running stability by forming many projections on the surface of a resin substrate to a uniform distribution density and attaching and providing magnetic layers having a uniform thickness to the surface thereof. CONSTITUTION:The many projections 11a are formed on the surface of the resin substrate 10 to the uniform density distribution. The respective projections 11a have peak shapes long and gentle in a longitudinal direction. The length L thereof is specified from 10mum-1,000mum, the width W from 0.02mum-20mum, and the height H from 0.01mum-0.1mum. The magnetic layers 21, 22, 23 having nearly the uniform thickness are then attached and provided to the surface of the substrate 10 having the projections to form projecting parts 1c corresponding to the projections 11a of the substrate 10. The running stability at the time when a magnetic disk and magnetic head slide each other at the time of starting or stopping of the magnetic disk is thereby improved.
