PURPOSE:To reduce power consumption by providing two kinds of magnetic generating means which generate magnetic data and arbitrarily selecting them to cause one of them to generate magnetic data. CONSTITUTION:A contact part 11 arranged in a position according with the standard of an IC card 10, a keyboard part 12, a display part 13 which is arranged on the upper face of the keyboard part 12 and consists of a liquid crystal display element and magnetic generating members 14a and 14b are provided on the surface of the IC card 10. A magnetic generating member control circuit 40 drives and controls magnetic generating members 14a and 14b in accordance with data, which is supplied from a data memory 31 through a data bus 20 in accordance with the classification of the card, and the driving rate of a reader. Magnetic information is generated from one of magnetic generating members 14a and 14b corresponding to the track designated by an operator in accordance with the classification of the card. |
