PURPOSE:To send information on emergency from one set of facsimile equipment by switching a line even in receiving the information from other station to a communication line for emergency communication automatically at the time of detecting the transmission of information through the emergency communication use communication line. CONSTITUTION:When information is sent through a communication line 12 for emergency communication from other station, a changeover device 13 is switched by a microcomputer built in a controller 15 and the communication line 12 is connected to a facsimile equipment 20. When the transmission of information requiring emergency is finished and the transmission of information through the communication line 12 is interrupted, the changeover device 13 is switched to the original state. When the information is sent through the communication line 12, the changeover device 13 is switched and at the same time a signal is outputted from an external output device 16 by the control of the controller 1 to drive a voice output device 18 and an alarming device 19 thereby informing the information requiring emergency.
