PURPOSE:To reduce the reduction in working efficiency and to decrease the flaw of a metal strip plate by arranging a nozzle integrating a blowing port and suction port removing a foreign matter on a metal strip plate with its suction by blowing an air jet at the vicinity where the metal strip plate approaches a work roll. CONSTITUTION:The nozzle 5 integrating the blowing port 3 and suction port 4 continuously removing with suction the foreign matter on a metal strip plate 1 is arranged near the inlet port where the metal strip plate 1 approaches a work roll 7. The foreign matter on the strip plate 1 to which the airstream injected from an injection port 3 is proceeding is continuously cut off and the suction port 4 catches the air and foreign matter without fail. The foreign matter on the strip plate 1 is thus removed at the front of the work roll inlet port to prevent the damage of a work roll and the generation of a flaw on the strip plate.
