PURPOSE:To secure the secrecy such as a pass word by setting a reception character string inhibiting the data display in inputting a data required for automatic log ON from a key entry section in off-line by the user. CONSTITUTION:A data relating to the automatic log ON is inputted by the user by using a key input section 5-a in off-line and stored in a data storage section 9. A reception character string expected to be sent from a host computer 2 is set to a reception character string setting column 10, a transmission character string to be sent to the host computer 2 is set to a transmission character string setting column 11 in receiving the reception character string, and a character string to inhibit the display onto an output section 6 among the character strings registered in the transmission character string such as a pass word even received at the execution of automatic log ON is set to a pass word setting column 12 respectively. The character strings to be sent from the computer at the execution of the automatic log ON function to be set not to be displayed in off-line are controlled not to be displayed onto an output device.
