PURPOSE:To prepare the title compsn. which is excellent in prevention of abrasion and corrosion of an engine, by adding magnetism sulfonate, alkenylsuccinimide (derivative) and zinc diaryl dithiophosphate to a base oil. CONSTITUTION:A magnesium salt of petroleum sulfonic acid or synthetic sulfonic acid is carbonated to prepared a high base value magnesium sulfonate (B) having a base value of at least 200mgKOH/g, pref. 300-400mgKOH/g, and a magnesium content of 5-12wt.%. Separately, an imido group is introduced into a monoalkenylsuccinic anhydride prepd. from a polyolefin having an MW of 300-5,000 and maleic anhydride by making use of a polyamine. If necessary, the product is reacted with a ketone or a carboxylic acid to prepare an alkenylsuccinimide (derivative) (C). To 60-98.5wt.% base oil comprising a lubricating oil (A) are added 0.5-6wt.% component B, 0.5-15wt.% component C, and 0.5-10wt.% zinc diaryldithiophosphate (D) of the formula (wherein R<1>-R<4> are each an aryl such as nonylphenyl, decylphenyl, or dodecylphenyl). |
