PURPOSE:To detect a defect in sealing from the deformation of a container in spite of room-temperature charging by leaving an uncharged space when contents are charged at room temperature, substituting the space with gas for substitution, and sealing the container. CONSTITUTION:The container 1 is made of paper and plastic and its bottom plate 1a is so designed as to deform. Coffee to drink is charged as contents 2 in this container 1 while the uncharged space is formed. This space is substituted with the gas 4 for substitution which is the mixed gas of gaseous carbon and gaseous nitrogen and the opening part of a lid material 3 is sealed. If the sealing is incomplete, a pressure difference is generated between the internal pressure in the container and atmospheric pressure at the time of the solution of the gas 4 for substitution in the contents 2 to cause the bottom plate 1a to deform and have a recess, but if the sealing is defective, the bottom plate does not deform. Consequently, the defect in sealing can be detected regardless of room-temperature charging.
