PURPOSE:To simplify an external line call route automatic selection system and to attain its general-purpose application by applying connection control by a main processing unit (MPU) only before and after a trunk line outgoing route selection by a sub-processing unit (SPU). CONSTITUTION:An MM2 setting extension connection control information is provided to an MPU 1 and an SM 4 setting code editing information to select an external call route automatically is provided respectively to an SPU 3. A PPU 1 uses the information of the MM 2 to all external line call routes based on the dial information in case of the external line call to apply connection control and identify all the allowable external line call routes, then the dial information and the said call route information are sent to the SPU 3. The SPU 3 selects the route with the highest priority in the said routes, extracts the edit dial information required therefor from the SM 4 and returns it to the MPU 1 and the PPU 1 uses the said information to edit again into the opposite subscriber number required for being bypassed through the calling route and the connection control is applied again.
