<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a mutual collision between products by calculating a timing extracting a succeeding billet from a heating furnace and by correctively calculating a driving speed of a pinch roll based on an inter-pitch error between the succeeding billet and a preceding billet. CONSTITUTION:Based on the timing at which the tail end of the preceding billet 1 conveyed by a rolling stand 8 passes through a billet detector 13 at the outlet side of the heating furnace, a start timing (ts) to start the succeeding billet 2 is calculated by a start command arithmetic unit 18 for the extracting roller table. Then, after the time (ts) is elapsed from the time when the tail end of the preceding billet 1 is passed through the billet detector 13 at the outlet side of the heating furnace, an extracting roller table 4 is started to extract the succeeding billet 2 from a heating furnace 3. Further, after conveying, the speed of the pinch roll 6 to be decelerated is calculated by an arithmetic unit 19 for a pinch roll speed changing command, the pinch roll 6 is decelerated at a prescribed position apart from the position where the top end of the succeeding billet 2 arrives, then the succeeding billet 2 is conveyed to the rolling stand 8 to manufacture the rolled product.</p> |
