PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of the titled device by eliminating noise selectively by one and same noise eliminating means from a video signal outputted from an image pickup means and a video signal outputted by a reproducing means in a camera incorporating type VTR or the like. CONSTITUTION:In giving a command of the recording operation to an operation section 11 at the recording, a recording mode signal is outputted from a system controller 12, then changeover switches 8, 10, 21 are turned to the position R and an output of a recording switch 8 is fed to a noise elimination circuit 9. Thus, noise elimination processing by a noise elimination circuit 9 is applied to the video signal obtained from an image pickup element 4. At the reproduction, the reproducing operation is commanded in the operating section 11 and a reproducing mode signal is outputted from the system controller 12, then the changeover switches 8, 10 and 21 are turned to the position P and an output of a changeover switch 30 is connected to a frequency multiplex circuit 34 via the noise eliminating circuit 9 and the changeover switch 10. Thus, the noise eliminating processing by the noise eliminating circuit 9 is applied in reproducing the video signal from a magnetic tape 24.
