PURPOSE:To provided an economical control device by giving commanding pulses increasing along a predetermined frequency gradient from synchronous commands to a servo motor to make a table precede a workpiece with speed higher than the workpiece and then constitutionally reverse the polarity of gradient of commanding pulse. CONSTITUTION:Command pulses for driving a servo motor 5 are increased along a predetermined frequency gradient more than synchronous command timing. Thus, a table 4 precedes a workpiece 1 with speed higher than that of workpiece 1. And after the integrated value of command pulse reaches 1/2 or more of integrated value of synchronous pulse, the polarity of command pulse gradient is reversed and the integration is continued to decelerate the table 4. Next, a predetermined period since timing when the total integrated value of command pulse becomes equal to the total integrated value of synchronous pulse is assumed to be a working period of the workpiece 1. Namely, the workpiece 1 adapted to continuously travel by the table driven by the one unit of servo motor 5 can be synchronously controllably worked to provide a compact and simple control device.
