PURPOSE:To equally form pores in the structure so as to improve grinding performance, reduce grinding load and enhance dressing performance by integratedly sintering abrasive grains and hollow spherical ceramic fine particles with the use of binders. CONSTITUTION:Super abrasive grains such as diamond, CBN and hollow spherical ceramic fine particles are integratedly sintered with the use of a binder. The hollow spherical fine particles are made of silica-alumina having a composition of 58 to 65 wt.% of SiO2, 28 to 38 wt.% of Al2O3 and 4 wt.% of Fe2O3, which has the properties of 10 to 100mum of the grain size, 0.7 to 0.8 of the specific gravity, 0.4 g/cm<3> of the bulk density, 1200 deg.C of the melting point, 350kg/cm<2> of the pressure proof strength and 5 of Moh's hardness. Metal bond, resinoid bond, vitrified bond and the like are used for a binder.
