PURPOSE:To minimize lost data even in the case of temporary stop of power supply due to power fault of a terminal equipment by always storing data of the terminal equipment in a non-volatile storage means. CONSTITUTION:Data 9 inputted to an input means 4 of a terminal equipment 1 is sent to a non-volatile storage means 6 and is always stored there and is temporarily stored in a temporary storage means 7 through a control means 5. When a transmission instruction 8 is inputted from an input means 4 to a control means 5, data 9 in the temporary storage means 7 is read out and is transmitted to a host computer 2, and an erase instruction 11 is outputted from the control means 5 to erase data stored in the non-volatile storage means 6. When power fault occurs before data transmission to the host computer and data in the temporary storage means 7 is lost, data stored in the non- volatile storage means 6 is read out to restore data to be transmitted.
