PURPOSE:To perform the change, correction, and deletion of a plotting control procedure arbitrarily, by placing the plotting control procedure recorded as the combination of plotting information in subordination to the management of an edit program as a plotting managing file. CONSTITUTION:On an external storage means 1, plotting parameters inputted from a register information input means 2, namely, the plotting parameters to plot character types by the number equivalent to the kinds of the character types are recorded reloadably. At the time of starting up a system, the plotting parameter stored in the external storage means 1 is read out by a plotting file generating means 3, and the plotting managing file is generated in the prescribed area of an internal memory 4. And a plotting command instructed by an input means 34 is interpreted by an arithmetic means 5, and the above stated plotting managing file corresponding to the instructed plotting command is accessed, and as a result, plotting data plotted on a display part 35 is computed based on a read out plotting parameter.
