PURPOSE:To form a cylindrical body in only one process such as a dip molding and to save trouble and to avoid a high cost, by immersing a mold in such a way that it is vertical to the coating liquid face and air in an air reservoir set on the bottom end face is not missed. CONSTITUTION:A mold 1 attached on the bottom face of an elevating apparatus 4 is lowered in the vertical direction to the liquid face and quietly immersed in a coating liquid 5 consisting of a molten synthetic resin. After immersion, the coating liquid 5 is adhered on the outer surface of the mold 1 in the coating liquid to form a resin film 6 of a thin thickness. The bottom end face of this resin film 6 is intercepted by the air 7 remaining in an air reservoir 2 of the mold 1 to form an upward ring-shaped projected wall 6a adhering on the inner wall of a ring-shaped wall 1d, but the coating liquid 5 does not reach the upper face of the air reservoir 2. Then, the mold 1 is pull out of the coating liquid 5 and mold releasing is done by blowing air between the mold 1 and the resin film 6. A cylindrical insulating sleeve 9 having a ring-shaped projected wall 6a facing inside on the opening edge can be thereby obtained.
