PURPOSE:To enable low-voltage driving by baking and uniting a green sheet of electrooptic ceramics and a laminate of electrode layers. CONSTITUTION:The green sheet 11 of electrooptic ceramics and the laminate of the electrode layers 12A are baked and united. Namely, sheet bodies 13a and 13b are laminated alternately in one direction and heated and pressed to obtain a compact 13 where the ceramic layer 11A and alternate electrode layers 12A are arranged. Then the body is sintered to decompose thermally and vaporize organic materials in the compact 13 such as a binder and a plasticizer. Thus, the green sheet 11 of electrooptic ceramics and the laminate of the electrode layers 12A are baked and united, so an electric field can be made to operate effectively on the green sheet of the electrooptic ceramic and the element can operates at a low driving voltage.
