PURPOSE:To attain the jumping completion at a purpose position by specifying a period up to the jumping completion in accordance with the period up to pass through a spot determined beforehand for the scanned track and the period to pass through the intermediate point of two tracks thereafter. CONSTITUTION:After a scanning point starts the jumping, the period up to the completion of jumping after an intermediate point passes is determined in accordance with a period (period until the output of a track detecting circuit 87 is inverted) up to the moment to cross a track scanned before a jumping is started and a period (period until the output of an intermediate point detecting circuit 85 is inverted) up to the moment to pass through the intermediate point of two tracks thereafter. Thus, even when the scanning point is controlled to a position away from the track, the jumping is completed at the position which is the purpose always, and therefore, an always stable jumping can be executed.
