A method and composition is described for treating neurological diseases such as migraine, by influencing the nerve cells. This is achieved by optimising the ability of the nerve cell gliacytes to transport taurine and the ability of the nerve cells to absorb taurine, by the external supply of amino acids occurring normally in the body. Preferred compositions include taurine, L-carnitine, zinc gluconate and calcium glycerophosphate.
