Method of regulating heat energy in, in particular, the drying of timber in a number of drying units, where heat energy generated by a solid-fuel installation is distributed to the drying units. In order, in this connection, to make it possible to control the heat- energy supply to the various drying units taking into consideration the instantaneous heat energy production of the solid-fuel installation, the instantaneous heat energy production of the solid-fuel installation 1 for timber drying is sensed and compared with the current or anticipated heat energy consumption for timber drying in a control unit 22 which, depending on the result of said comparison, distributes available heat energy to the drying units 2 according to such a pattern that the heat energy consumption in the drying unit(s) 2 which at the time in question require(s) the most heat energy is greater than in the drying unit(s) which at the time in question require(s) the least heat energy, it being possible to make the energy consumption in the drying unit(s) 2 which at the time in question require(s) the least heat energy stop instantaneously. <IMAGE> |
