PURPOSE:To prevent deformation of a rim without incurring an increase in weight, by arranging the outer end section of a spoke part bridging between the rim and a hub, along the raised part of the projecting flange of the rim, facing the hub so that the torsional rigidity of the raised part is made strong. CONSTITUTION:A wheel assembly 3 comprises a rim 5, a hub 6, and a spoke part 9 formed between both members 5, 6. The rim 5 is formed such that the welded middle sections of two formed rings are coupled together at projecting flanges 5a raised toward a rear wheel shaft 7. The spoke part 9 is secured to the outer peripheral surface of the hub 6 fixed to the rear wheel shaft 7 by nuts 8, extending outward in the radial direction from the shaft 7. In this arrangement, the outer end section of the spoke part 9 is arranged so that it extends along the raised parts 5a' of the projecting flanges 5a. Thereby, the raised parts 5a' of the projection flanges 5a are supported, at their inner peripheral surfaces, by the outer end section of the spoke part 9 to be subjected to force from a tire 4. Accordingly, the torsional rigidity of the raised parts 5a' may be made strong. |
