PURPOSE:To make uniform the temperature distribution in a cooking area by controlling the temperature in the cooking area by controlling the volume ratio which steam occupies in a mixture gas in the cooking area and at the same time constituting a uniform mixture gas by the natural convection which utilizes the difference in specific gravities of steam and air and the diffusion which is peculiar to the steam. CONSTITUTION:Because the cross-sectional area of a steam supply port 14 is constituted so as to have an area sufficiently large for the supply amount of steam and the jetting speed of steam 17 is set as low as possible, the steam 17 is supplied horizontally and uniformly in a space 16 below a cooking area 2 so that the steam 17 not only mixes with air 18 by diffusion but also is slowly replaced by the air 18 in the cooking area 2 with natural convection accompanied due to the difference in the specific gravities of steam and air. Accordingly by the effect of mixing by diffusion and ascent of the steam 17 by the difference of specific gravity a uniform gas mixture is constituted in the cooking area so as to prevent the flowing of the mixture gas 19 out of the main body 1 along with the position of arrangement of a section 15 communicating with the atmosphere and the temperature distribution in the cooking area 2 becomes uniform.
