According to the invention, the telephone device comprises a telephone set 400 with voice control, able to receive calls when the handset is lifted, the voice control allowing selection from a set of stored call numbers and the calling of the selected number. The device furthermore comprises an outboard contactor means of control 10 as well as a switch 4 for selecting between the aforesaid normal call and reception mode, and a special mode in which reception of calls is carried out by actuation of the said contactor means of control 10 in the presence of ringing 12, whereas in the absence of ringing 12, the actuation of the said contactor means of control 10 puts the device 2 into a condition for receiving a voice control and for calling the selected number. <IMAGE>
