PURPOSE:To prevent a toner from being mixed, by providing a pan which is positioned between a first developing tank and a second developing tank and receives the toner dropped down from the first developing tank, and constituting this pan so that it can be switched to adjacent and separated attitudes. CONSTITUTION:The titled device is provided with the first developing tank 4 and the second developing tank 5 having toners 3 of different colors, respectively. Also, this device is provided with a pan 6 which is positioned between the developing tank 4 and 5, and receives the toner dropped down from the developing tank 4, and its pan 6 is switched so that it can be made adjacent and separated to an from a photosensitive body 2 by a switching device 7. Also, the device 7 switches the pan 6 to an adjacent attitude B1 and a separated attitude B1 through an arm 9 by interlocking with a protruding/withdrawing operation of a rod-like carrying handle 8 which can be protruded and withdrawn freely to and from a copying machine body 1.
