PURPOSE:To secure the ordinary traveling of a vehicle by judging the trouble of an auxiliary transmission selecting system when the cut-off state of a clutch continues for a prescribed time or more and compulsorily connecting the clutch and connecting the clutch after the lapse of a prescribed time. CONSTITUTION:In a control circuit 26, an auxiliary selection control circuit 27 for connecting and disconnecting a clutch and selection-controlling an auxiliary transmission in the ordinary traveling is installed. Further, a selection prohibiting circuit 72 for suspending the selection control of the auxiliary transmission in the necessary case and an auxiliary transmission protecting circuit 73 for prohibiting the compulsory stop of the selection control for the auxiliary transmission in the selection of the auxiliary transmission are installed. Further, a trouble judging circuit 70 for compulsorily connecting a clutch in the case when the clutch is cut off because of the trouble of an input/output switch, etc., during the traveling of a car is installed. The cut-off time of the clutch is measured by a timer part 13, and when the cut-off time exceeds a set value, the clutch is connected by the trouble judging circuit 70.
