PURPOSE:To diffuse microwaves uniformly and make it possible to heat efficiently with little uneven heating by imparting the wall face of a heating chamber a corrugation in the oblique direction with respect to the wall face to increase the surface area of the wall for the wall structure. CONSTITUTION:The microwaves radiated from a radiation antenna 2 of a magnetron 1 is radiated from a connection hole 4 into the inside of a heating chamber 5. The microwave that is radiated into the inside of the heating chamber 5 repeats its reflection in the heating chamber 5, and the microwaves do not repeat the same reflection between the same wall faces due to the oblique corrugation 11 of the wall face. As a result, the microwaves are diffused and the strength in the electric field strength distribution due to the location which is produced by standing waves formed by the interference of reflected microwaves are largely reduced. Furthermore, in this case by the addition of a turntable a food 9 is given almost uniform heating by the synergistic effect of changes in the electric field strength distribution which is added by the rotation of the food.
